With 30 years in Montana as a successful business owner, Steve has been able to exceed in numerous projects where as contract negotiations land and water resource management and manipulation has been his area of expertise. Recent consulting work has led to a number of successful businesses being created under his direction.
With his knowledge of the political and topographical landscape of Montana and surrounding states, he felt the timing was prime for creating wind development in Montana. Steve has spent 8 months in negotiation with Midwest Wind Energy; Zephyr Wind energy now has the financial backing for wind development in the billions of dollars.
Michel Olson; Executive V.P
Michel Olson has been part of Zephyr wind energy since day one; he takes the lead when it comes to understanding the needs and concerns of our Native American neighbors and their Tribal land. His approach to establishing wind energy on Tribal land has resulted in win win situations for all involved. He maintains an honest and down to earth work ethic, with an emphasis on "do as you promise".
Michel graduated from MSU in environmental studies earning him honors and the 2005 citizenship award from the department of environmental studies, his extensive work background has included archeology ,biology, GIS mapping and historical interpretation, in which he achieved his goal of National Historic Landmark status for the Rosebud Battlefield state Park. Michel maintains a successful consulting business, dealing with tribal preservation and history; he currently works with 3 different Tribes in South Dakota and Montana.
